The Twin City Radio Theatre’s Halloween Show Directed by Christopher Slaughter
Teens and Adults of all ages are welcome to audition for our Twin City Radio Theatre Halloween show! The Twin City Radio Theatre’s mission is to provide a unique theatrical experience for our visitors, not unlike what you might have experienced as a studio audience member in the 1940s or 50s: actors gathered around microphones with scripts in hand, a mixture of live and recorded sound effects, and colorful hosts setting the proper mood for the evening’s dramatic offerings. TCRT shows are a great opportunity for actors of all comfort levels to try this unique acting style.
Performance Dates for Halloween Show: October 18th-21st, 2018
Anne of Green Gables:
Directed by Alaska Reece Vance
Anne Shirley is a spirited orphan who is mistakenly sent to live with stern Marilla Cuthbert and her brother Matthew on Prince Edward Island. Hilarity, mix-ups, and tenderness abound as audacious Anne struggles to adjust to island life. Along the way, the unlikely family learns a little about patience and a lot about love. All your favorite characters are here in this new adaption, the twist is that four actors will play all the roles!
Performance Dates for Anne of Green Gables: We will be touring this show throughout the tri cities and surrounding areas November 2018-March 2019. This show will be double or triple cast so that we can have some flexibility with the tour schedule.
Who can audition?
Anyone! All teens and adults are welcome to audition for one or both shows!
Where are the auditions?
In the Women’s Auxiliary Building, also called the FAB or Fine Arts Building on King University’s Campus (1350 King College Road, Bristol TN)
Do I have to be there both nights?
No. Come either night between 7:00 and 8:30.
Do I have to prepare anything?
No. “Sides” (monologues or scenes cut from plays, used for auditions) will be provided. We encourage our theatre majors to prepare a one-minute monologue for auditions(as this is the industry expectation) but this is not expected of non-theatre majors or community members.
