In Brazil people who live in slums found a way of bringing a little more happiness (or at least more color) into their lives. The so called “favelas” are now being painted by local artists as a social project to improve the environment of poverty and crimes that those people face everyday.
The citizens approved the project and they say the results can already be seen. A feeling of peace, and we dare say safety, has increased and children now can play on streets that reflect a little bit of happiness (or should we say the painting hides a little bit of their reality?)
Fact is that it is proved to be a good step, but they need a lot more. So, keep that people in your prayers. If you’re interested in visiting or helping that community, just let us now, and we’ll link you to someone responsible for social projects in that location.
